Absolutely Bill's Mood

I've been reading some great books lately. One of the authors I have been very fortunate to stumble upon is Bill Bryson. I just read his latest book titled: A Short History of Nearly Everything It is a kind of rough guide to the science history of the world. He tells the the story of the life, universe and everything, in an interesting, easier to understand and very funny kind of way. Bryson is however more know for his travel books and I just started reading one of those: Down Under. It is, to say the least, immensely funny and at the same time very informative. So it you want to laugh and learn then i recommend his books. I can not resist the temptation to add a small excerpt from Down Under:
"Broken Hill was a positively delightful little community - clean, trim, cheerfuly prosperous. Unfortunately this was not at all what we wanted. We wanted proper outback: a place where men were men and sheep were nervous....This wasn´t the outback at all. This was Guildford with the heat turned up."

If, by any chance, you are not into hilariously funny travel books or non fiction, then I can recommend The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith, which tells you about a woman in Africa, Botswana to be exact, who decides to open a decective agency. It is funny, makes you think, but most of all makes you want to go to Botswana! Maybe I´ll do that after South America. :)
Well, now it´s time to go home and sleep for 7 hours before going back to work...nice!
